Henan Daily reported on our productsIssuing time:2019-11-06 14:35 vThe main advantage of the set of intelligent retractable sprinklers system is it does not affect mechanized farming. The sprinkler head can rise to a height of 1.8 meters, which allowing irrigation of tall-stalk crops, and retract underground to a depth of 40 cm after opration, ensuring no distruption to ground-level mechanized activities, according to the chairman report on October 29, 2019. vThat same day, the Department of Science, Technology, and International Cooperation, along with the Water Resources Technology Promotion Center of the Provincial Water Resources Department, held a conference in Zhengzhou to promote the intelligent retractable underground sprinkler irrigation system across the province. vAfter one year of field testing, we have concluded that this system is suitable for large scale adoption in our province," said Pan Guoqiang, Chief Engineer of the Provincial Water Resources Technology Promotion Center. In July of this year, the automated retractable underground sprinkler was certified by the Ministry of Water Resources as an advanced and practical hydraulic technology. vIn the afternoon, attendees visited a demonstration site to observe the system in operation. A total of 273 retractable sprinklers had been installed across a 100-hectare experimental field. vWith the press of a button, rows of sprinklers emerged from the previously quiet garlic seedling field. Cool groundwater sprayed from rotating nozzles, forming rainbows over the orchard. Upon closer inspection, the sprinkler mechanism resembled a telescopic fishing rod or the collapsible shaft of an umbrella. vThe critical challenge was ensuring reliable retraction underground." While water pressure could propel the sprinklers above ground, ensuring smooth retraction required extensive design efforts. vThis retractable irrigation system employs a scientifically sound design. Utilizing negative pressure principles, the sprinklers are drawn back underground once water flow ceases," the team explained. vAs irrigation concluded, the sprinklers—standing taller than a person—retracted section by section into the ground, leaving only small dark apertures on the surface. The observing crowd responded with enthusiastic applause. |
